Soli is a 4-part female a cappella group created by resident a cappella enthusiast and long-standing Austinite Meg Rivera! Having lived the a cappella scene in another life with fellow alto and gal pal Nita Chawla, Meg and Nita set out to create their own group and found Grace Thompson and Alyssa Radford, the perfect Soprano beauties to complete Soli. Their repertoire is a blend of their combined musical tastes, with pop hits from the 80s, 90s, early 2000s and now. Meg is also a mama of two adorable kids while Nita, Grace and Alyssa all teach at Eastside Music School downtown. 

Nita Chawla 
An urban girl with a southern heart and eastern roots,Nita was born in Mississippi and raised just outside of Washington DC. After years of learning classical piano and singing with her musical family, she knew in her late teens that singing and songwriting was her calling. Since then, Nita’sgypsy spirit has taken her to live and perform in cities like DC, NYC, LA, Austin, London, Copenhagen and Berlin.With influences like Tori Amos and Sara Bareilles, her originals are at times emotional, heartfelt, & passionate, but also soothing & healing as well.
